But their use can end up generating a discussion, such as their benefit to the environment. Over the years, efforts have been made to improve its use, resulting in plant extracts and microbial agents, such as nematodes, which are used in pesticides to combat pathogens. This would improve our health, and would have a much lesser impact on the environment, as it is easy to use in the soil and does not leave residues. The use of pesticides can be seen as a "medicine" for plants, but if used in excess it is harmful, they are perceived as an enemy of the environment and also of health, but their use is important for mass production of food, so that the population does not lack, for example, the use of defensives help the food to have a slower decomposition, aiming at its quality for consumption. If used correctly, pesticides can be a great ally to meet all the population's demand and generate great savings for the country.Acesso AbertoBiomedicinaCiências BiológicasDefensores agrícolasMeio ambienteSoloPragasAlimentosCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICASBenefícios dos defensores agrícolasRelatório de Pesquisa
