To this end, this research sought to investigate the importance of valuing the identity and experiences of institutionalized subjects in old age. Thus, a participant from a LP institution in Vargem Grande do Sul - SP was selected, who, based on the narration and observation of her stories and experiences, verified the statements observed in the literature.
