Dandruff is a very infectious disease found in horses, mules and monkeys, which can be transmitted to humans. The acute form is characterized by fever and septicemia, leading the animal to death in a few days. Chronic disease can occur in horses with ulcerative nodules on the skin and nodules on the lungs and nasal cavity.
