Abstract

Currently, the search for the achievement of the desired environmental quality is becoming increasingly complex. When an organization is mobilized to achieve this goal, it must adopt a set of internal and external measures, where environmental management will be of great help. Environmental management creates opportunities for the company to add value and obtain a competitive advantage through public recognition, cost savings or additional gains, while alleviating the impact of its production process on the environment (AULER, 2002).
