Abstract
Larval therapy consists of application of live larvae of Chrysomya putoria (Díptera Calliphoridae) flies in the recovery of necrotic tissues, due to infection caused by Diabetes Mellitus, osteomyelitis, ulcerative wounds and wounds in general. In order for the larvae to be applied to the wound, eggs need to be sterilized so that the action of chemicals destroys the pathogens that are contained in the eggs. This work aims to test the sterilization of eggs for future
use of larvae in the treatment of wounds.
