Abstract
Founded on November 23, 1995 with the merger of Visa International, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Banco Real and the already closed Banco Nacional, Cielo entered the Brazilian acquiring and payment market. As the country's largest in its sector, Cielo is responsible for around 10% of Brazil's GDP.
