Abstract

With the advancement of technology, society is becoming more aware of the need to adopt an ethical stance in the performance of companies. In this perspective, in the first decades of the 21st century, public environmental management systems were developed and a collection that includes management systems, methodologies to characterize the quality of the environment, identify polluting agents, analyze environmental impacts, license and supervise productive activities, implement control equipment and environmental recovery programs, among others, with a view to subsidizing business management with regard to sustainability and care for the environment.
