dc.description.abstractHealing is the process by which a specific wound is repaired, which may have been caused by different mechanisms, such as: cuts, trauma, burns, etc. The healing process involves four phases, namely: inflammation phase, fibroblast phase, maturation and remodeling. Traditionally, there are two forms of healing used in clinical care: healing by first intention, where the edges of the wound are brought together through sutures and healing by second intention, where new tissue is formed at the base of the wound.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoCicatrização é processo pelo qual há reparação de uma determinada ferida, que pode ter sido causada por mecanismos distintos, tais como: cortes, traumas, queimaduras, etc. O processo de cicatrização envolve quatro fases, sendo elas: fase de inflamação, fase fibroblástica, maturação e remodelagem. Tradicionalmente existem duas formas de cicatrização utilizadas no atendimento clinico: cicatrização por primeira intenção, onde as bordas da ferida são aproximadas por meio de suturas e a cicatrização por segunda intenção, onde há formação de tecido novo na base da ferida.pt_BR
