Abstract

Environmental degradation has evolved considerably in recent decades and in some way, everyone is affected by pollution. A huge part of this pollution originates in organizations and only through improvements in their products, processes and services, the environmental impacts caused by them will be reduced. Due to this, environmental management gains more and more importance, awakening in business managers the idea of ​​the need to invest in environmental quality, which is an item considered important by their customers. As a way to find answers to this problem, companies look for environmental management standards to provide organizations with elements of an effective system that can be integrated with other management requirements, helping them to achieve their economic, social and environmental objectives.
