Abstract

Rabies is a lethal virus-transmitted disease for both men and animals. In the urban area the dog is the main transmitter of the disease and can occur through bites, scratches or licks of damaged skin or mucous. This disease has been progressively diagnosed in our region and, due to the great risk that this zoonosis poses to men, we aim to alert colleagues and professionals; reduce human exposure to rabies. Many cases of animal rabies have been observed among the various animal species, such as felines, canines, horses, cattle and sheep.
