Swine fever is a disease that has already been eradicated. It has great economic importance because it is highly lethal and has a very large transmission capacity, and can condemn herds that are up to 150 km away from the main focus. There is no treatment, so all animals that are in isolation, including dogs and cats, must be euthanized.
