dc.description.abstractHistology is the study of the cells and tissues of the body and how these structures organize to form bodies. Due to the small dimensions of the cells, their study is performed with the aid of microscopes. In this chapter, these instruments will be presented, and some ways used to prepare cells, tissues, and organs for microscopic analysis. dc.description.resumoHistologia é o estudo das células e dos tecidos do corpo e de como essas estruturas se organizam para constituir os órgãos. Em razão das pequenas dimensões das células, seu estudo é realizado com auxílio de microscópios. Neste capítulo, esses instrumentos serão apresentados, e também serão abordadas algumas maneiras usadas para preparar as células, os tecidos e os órgãos para análise microscópica.
