dc.description.abstractAnatomically, the testicles were located in the hypogastric, intra abdominal region in a longitudinal cranial - caudal position with an oval shape. The epididymis was found in the dorsal mid region of the testis DYCE et al (1997). The right testicle weighed 6.48 g and the left 6.23 g; they respectively measured 3.1 cm and 3.4 cm in length and 2.6 cm and 2.6 cm in width, showing a certain regularity in shape and size. The right epididymis measured 8.5 cm and the left 6.0 cm. Microscopically the testicular structures found were similar to those of other animals with characteristic germinal epithelium (spermatogonia, spermatocytes of 1st and 2nd order and spermatoids). Leydig cells were observed in large numbers.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoAnatomicamente, os testículos localizaram-se na região hipogástrica, intra abdominal em posição longitudinal crânio - caudal com formato ovalado. O epididimo encontrou-se na região médio dorsal do testículo DYCE et al (1997). O testículo direito pesou 6,48 g e o esquerdo 6,23 g; mediram respectivamente 3,1 cm e 3,4 cm de comprimento sendo que na largura 2,6 cm e 2,6 cm mostrando certa regularidade no formato e tamanho. O epidídimo direito mediu 8,5 cm e o esquerdo 6,0 cm. Microscopicamente as estruturas testiculares encontradas foram semelhantes as de outros animais com epitélio germinativo característico (espermatogônias, espermatócitos de 1º e 2º ordem e espermátides). Células de Leydig foram observadas em grande quantidade.pt_BR
