dc.description.abstractThe pet market is constantly growing. According to the ABINPET 2020 survey, this market raised 22.3 billion. Therefore, innovations in this area are gaining prominence, especially for pet owners who take great care of their pets and seek to ensure their health, safety, and well-being, since they are practically members of the family. Pet care goes beyond food; accessories, clothing, and moisturizers are frequently used by owners, who seek to extend their care to their pets. This study, which focuses on bringing practicality, innovation, and sustainability, proves through research the usefulness of the Tenebrio insect as an innovative source and provider of benefits for the animal's skin, bringing a prototype of a moisturizing balm with 60% Tenebrio oil and 38% waxes, derived from animal and vegetable origin. The balm's formulation was promising, with a color, aroma, and texture comparable to similar products on the market.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoO mercado pet está em constante crescimento, segundo pesquisa ABINPET 2020 esse mercado arrecadou 22,3 bilhões. Sendo assim, inovações neste meio ganham destaque, principalmente para os tutores dos animais que tem todo cuidado com o Pet e que buscam garantir saúde, segurança e bem-estar já que são praticamente membros da família. O cuidado pet vai além da alimentação, acessórios, roupas e hidratantes são frequentemente utilizados pelos tutores, os quais buscam uma extensão de seus cuidados aos cuidados referentes aos seus pets. O presente estudo, que tem como foco trazer praticidade, inovação e sustentabilidade, comprovando a partir de pesquisas a utilidade do inseto Tenebrio como fonte inovadora e provedora de benefícios para a pele do animal, trazendo um protótipo de bálsamo hidratante com o 60% óleo de Tenébrio e 38% de ceras, derivadas de origem animal e vegetal. A formulação do bálsamo apresentou-se promissora, apresentando cor, aroma e textura comparável a produtos similares que existem no mercado.pt_BR
