Abstract

This work aims to demonstrate an analysis of risk management for a small rural property. According to article 4, II, a, of the Reform Law Agrária (Law 8.629/93) determines as a small rural property the one with an area reached between one and four fiscal modules, in which each fiscal module can vary between 5 and 110 hectares, depending on the total area of ​​the municipality. The term agribusiness was created in 1957 by John Davis and Ray Goldberg, professors at Harvard University. This word, translated into Portuguese, means agribusiness.
