Nomophobia means the irrational fear of being without your cell phone or being prevented from using it, which can even alter your brain chemistry. The syndrome results in some symptoms such as anxiety, insecurity, panic attacks and depression due to the process of social isolation and impoverishment of socio-affective relationships.
