Abstract

The reading practice chosen is storytelling: reading and acting, thus stimulating curiosity and pleasure in reading. In this practice, teacher Nara Alexo da Silva, responsible for the reading room, is concerned with choosing the book according to the age group of the classroom, where she also stimulates creativity and imagination, making the student invent the end of the story and together arrive in a context. This reading practice stimulates creativity, text interpretation and especially the literacy of students from 1st to 5th year of elementary school.
