Abstract

The relationship between art, culture and censorship is very complex, marked by tensions and conflicts. Art challenges cultural norms and broadens human thought, reflecting the diversity and values ​​of a society. Censorship, on the other hand, arises as an attempt to control or suppress this expression, often in conflict with the artistic freedom guaranteed by the Federal Constitution of 1988. Despite legal guarantees, censorship persists in various contexts, highlighting the ongoing need to protect and promote cultural diversity and the free exchange of ideas in society.
