dc.description.abstractMathias, who had worked for 10 years at Costurarte, a casual clothing manufacturing company, was surprised on a normal workday, along with the other workers at the company, by the arrival of Ernesto, Costurarte's managing partner. Ernesto was visibly worried. Mathias and the other workers stopped their work and turned their attention to Ernesto, curious to know the reason for his presence. Ernesto, with a choked voice, informed the workers that the company would no longer be able to continue operating, and that they were free to look for other jobs. Furthermore, the company did not have the resources at that time to settle the severance payments, which would be done gradually, as the situation improved.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoMathias, trabalhador há 10 anos da empresa Costurarte, empresa do ramo de confecção de roupas casuais, em um dia de trabalho normal, foi surpreendido, assim como os demais trabalhadores da empresa, com a chegada de Ernesto, sócio administrador da Costurarte. Ernesto estava visivelmente preocupado. Mathias e os demais trabalhadores pararam seus trabalhos e voltaram a atenção para o Ernesto, curiosos para saber o motivo da sua presença. Ernesto, com a voz embarga, informou aos trabalhadores que a empresa não teria mais condições de se manter em funcionamento, e que eles estavam liberados para procurar outros empregos. E, ainda, a empresa não teria naquele momento recursos para realizar o acerto das verbas rescisórias, o que seria feito aos poucos, conforme a situação fosse melhorando.pt_BR
