Utilização do Fentanil na Medicina Veterinária aplicado em pequenos animais

Abstract

Fentanyl is a morphomimetic opioid with potent analgesic action currently used in the practice of balanced anesthesia in dogs, with pharmacological properties that qualify it in anesthesia, as it presents immediate analgesic effect, with good sedation and slight respiratory depression, causing a decrease in motor activity, not causing vomiting, however it causes sphincter relaxation and defecation may occur. It has as its antagonist drug nalofrin, which reverses the depressant action.
