Abstract
The IGP-M (General Price Index - Market) is a market price indicator calculated monthly by the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE), an agency of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). In addition to monthly calculations, the index also generates projections released every 10 days. The IGP-M serves nothing more than measuring price variations, obtaining information whether there is inflation or deflation, it is usually used as an index for the readjustment of various services that we consume daily, such as energy supply, health plans, and school fees. .
