Abstract

The property visited has four species of forage plants, all grasses, namely: elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum schum), family grass (Poacea), is multiplied by seedlings and the best planting time is in spring. Its growth habit is bushy, with an erect bearing exceeding three meters in height, with internodes of 15 to 20 cm, diameter of up to 2.5 cm, and a root system with thick, rhizomatous roots and a good palatability. Grass Brachiaria decumbens (Brachiaria), grass family (Poacea), planting is made by seeds and its planting time is in spring, a perennial plant, It has a prostrate growth habit, with an average height of 50 cm to 100 cm. cm. It emits a large number of stolons, well rooted and with points protected growing season, and has good palatability.
