Abstract
The Mandatory Supervised Curricular Internship aims to provide students completing the Pedagogy Course with the following opportunities: Experience the historical process of inclusive education in Brazil. Identify and characterize the differences between exclusion, segregation, integration, and inclusion of people with disabilities, special abilities, and autism. Identify public education policies aimed at special education from an inclusive perspective. Recognize the main obstacles to the implementation of Inclusive Special Education in Brazil. Identify the general characteristics of physical and intellectual disabilities, deafness, blindness/low vision, and multiple disabilities, in addition to autism and special abilities, without losing focus on the fact that each individual has their own personal specificities in each of them. Evaluate which pedagogical resources are appropriate for the development of students with disabilities, autism, and special abilities, based on the potential and needs of each of them. Critically analyze the planning of educational practices so that the curriculum includes the necessary adjustments to meet the differences. The student must complete the internship in Special Education in public or private schools, preferably where there is some type of specialized service for students with some kind of disability (intellectual, auditory, visual, physical or multiple), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or high abilities/giftedness. During the internship, the student must complete the 50 hours in the following manner: 10 hours - classroom observation following the script; 25 hours analysis of documents at the school (reports/reports from specialized multidisciplinary teams, pedagogical reports, Individual Service Plan, anamnesis, curricular adaptation, Pedagogical Proposal); 15 hours - preparation and assembly of the internship report, filling out the internship forms.
