Abstract

The relationship between art, culture and censorship is complex. Art challenges established cultural norms, questions taboos and promotes reflection on social, political and individual issues. The 1988 Federal Constitution guarantees artistic freedom, ensuring that everyone has the right to create and disseminate their works without censorship or prior license.
