dc.description.abstractThe formulation of the Tenébrio Gold and Turmeric dog biscuit was designed as an innovation in the market, aiming at sustainability and with the objective of improving the quality of life of elderly dogs with joint problems, with the aim of minimizing the abandonment of animals due to health problems, since, by using the product, the animal's owner can prevent such events. To develop the formulation, a literature review was carried out in scientific databases in order to select relevant scientific articles with an argumentative and critical view on the subject. Tests for the development of the dog biscuit prototype are underway and new tests will still be carried out in order to improve the final formulation, development of packaging and mandatory nutritional labeling for this type of product according to current legislation. The preliminary results obtained were satisfactory, considering the initial development. However, new tests will be necessary to complete the project with satisfactory results regarding consistency, palatability, innovation, sustainability, added nutritional value in the product and food safety.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoA formulação do biscoito canino Tenébrio Gold e Cúrcuma foi pensado para uma inovação no mercado visando a sustentabilidade e tendo como objetivo a qualidade de vida de cães idosos com problemas articulares, com o intuito de minimizar o abandono de animais por problemas de saúde pois, utilizando o produto o tutor do animal poderá prevenir tais acontecimentos. Para o desenvolvimento da formulação foi realizada uma revisão da literatura em bases de dados científicos a fim de selecionar os artigos científicos relevantes com uma visão argumentativa e crítica sobre o assunto. Os testes para o desenvolvimento do protótipo do biscoito canino estão em andamento e novos testes ainda serão realizados para que ocorra o aprimoramento da formulação final, desenvolvimento de embalagem e da rotulagem nutricional obrigatória para esse tipo de produto segundo a legislação vigente. Os resultados preliminares obtidos foram satisfatórios, considerando o desenvolvimento inicial. No entanto, será necessário a realização de novos testes para a finalização do projeto com resultados satisfatórios com relação a consistência, palatabilidade, inovação, sustentabilidade, valor nutricional agregado no produto e segurança de alimentos.pt_BR
