Abstract
The year 2022 should not be one of significant investments in planted area of
orange. In addition to concerns about the weather, the low productivity of the season
2021/2022 has restricted the income of many citrus growers. Some of them may even join
irrigation to mitigate climate risks.
As for the 2022/2023 production, initially, good flowering was verified, but
there are still concerns about the effects of weather (as some plants have been
weakened by the drought, and the possibility of La Niña could delay the regularization of the rains
in SP)
