Abstract
The objective of this project was to develop an initial formulation of a gel based on Aloe
Vera and Calendula to treat the symptoms of rosacea. Through a literature review, it was found that
Aloe Vera has moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, while Calendula is anti-inflammatory,
bactericidal, and soothing. Rosacea, a chronic condition that affects the skin of the face, can be
controlled with appropriate treatments. The AloeLêndula Gel was formulated to calm and reduce
redness and irritation associated with rosacea, improving the appearance and comfort of the skin.
Daily application of the gel aims to reduce the skin's reactivity to internal and external stimuli,
offering relief and comfort. The initial formulation, based on the beneficial properties of these
ingredients, proves to be a natural and effective alternative for skin care in rosacea, contributing to
symptom control and improving the quality of life of patients.
