Today, they are considered family members and their guardians are concerned about safety and well-being during clinical, surgical and anesthetic procedures, which are constantly performed for preventive medicine and treatments. Therefore, it is very important to know the anatomy and physiology of this species, as well as the important aspects that should be taken during anesthesia and which are the most used drugs, aiming at greater safety for these patients. Although there is a shortage of secure information for pet rabbits, it is possible to develop appropriate protocols and define the most important points that should be followed during anesthesia.
