Abstract

Rhodococcosis is one of the most important diseases in foals from one to six months of age, caused by Rhodococcus equi leading to bronchopneumonia with pulmonary abscess and / or enteritis, polysynovitis, osteomyelitis and uveitis. The objective was to bibliographic survey of rhodococcosis, describing its etiology, clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of this disease that affects foals in the early stage of life.
