After all, most of us always want to know what's going on in the ''timeline'' of facebook or the ''Instagram'' feed. But nomophobia happens when there is misuse of this technology, which has become so important in human life. human today. Since, we use cell phones, computers, tablets for everything, even for work, entertainment and many times, some parents even use them to entertain the children in some moments of occupation. The time that these children and adolescents remain connected to the internet and networks is increasing, compromising the performance of other social and family activities. This time that is too connected, encourages a sedentary lifestyle, causing health and psychological problems due to social isolation. In childhood, excessive exposure to screens impairs the stimuli necessary for development and increases the risk of brain deficits. The rapid accessibility to these "moments of pleasure" can lead to repetition and consequent dependence on the use of electronic devices. In addition to problems such as difficulty sleeping, lack of sociability and aggressiveness, exposure to content that children are not emotionally mature to deal with, the use of these devices can lead to psychological disorders such as anxiety, bulimia, anorexia and depression. These disorders may be associated with suicidal ideation and attempts, in addition to self-aggressive behavior such as cutting oneself, pulling one's hair, biting one's nails to the point of causing injuries.Item Quais as problemáticas da nomofobia na adolescência?(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-06-30) TREVISAN, Ana Júlia; SILVA JUNIOR, Jair Severiano da; PERETTO, Laura Guerra C.; RODRIGUES, Maria Eduarda Silvério; SILVA, Maria Laura Buzon; RAMOS, Mariana Gabrielli; REZENDE, Nicolly; NEGREIROS, Patricia de; MOURA, Pedro Gustavo de; CAMARGO, Tamires Lopes; CABRAL, Camila da Silva; OLIVEIRA, Leticia Dal Picolo Dal Secco de; MARTINS, Lucas Francisco; VERNE, Matheus BovoloniWith the advent of new technologies and the way people interact in their day-to-day lives, computers, telephones and the Internet have become widely used tools, giving rise to one of the greatest world phenomena of the 21st century: nomophobia. The literature indicates an increase in eating disorders, especially in our time marked by power relations whose target and investment is the body.
