Financial statements are reports that measure the real situation financial and equity of an organization in a given period. this tool management is essential for companies, because the methods of analysis of financial statements are sources of data that help organizations in making of decisions. The main financial statements are intended to provide a balance sheet assets, thus characterizing the assets and also the financial position of a particular organization. The Income Statement for the Year (DRE) is a type statement that shows the profits and/or losses in a period of exercise predetermined, thus comparing expenses, income and other activities economic and financial statements of the period. (Bruni and Famá, 2006, p.77).
