- Item Apoptose na placenta do búfalo(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) PEREIRA, Flávia Thomaz Verechia; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; PETRONI, Natália Luiza; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; DAGLI, Maria Lúcia ZaidanThe ruminant placenta has a very uniform macroscopic structure, based on specialized areas of apposition and proliferation of maternal fetal membranes: the placentones (LEISER et al, 1994; LEISER et al, 1997a; LEISER et al, 1997b). Showing a fundamental role for the success of pregnancy, these structures have been extensively studied in several species of domestic animals of commercial interest. In these areas of contact between mother and fetus, apoptosis (programmed cell death) occurs, appearing with 7-10 months of pregnancy, however the pregnancy of the buffalo is 10 months and apoptosis is visualized in these late stages of pregnancy.
- Item Morfologia da placenta canina(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; FERREIRA, Guilherme J. B.C.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; ROSA, Ricardo AlexandreThe placenta of SRD dogs was studied through macro, microscopic anatomy and scanning electron microscopy, analyzing the maternal and fetal vascular systems. It was classified as complete annular zonary, endothelial and lamellar with marginal hematomas in the extension of the margins of the placental brace. The vascularization of the organ is carried out by funicular vessels, branches, central placental and other, chorionic placental. Ventrally to the fetus, the remnant of the highly vascularized yolk sac is evident, characterizing the ventral choriovitheline placenta. Marginal hematomas were considered blood lakes arranged in contact with the trophoblast giving blood leakage originating from the maternal vessels, determining erythrophagositis and iron endocytosis. Placental microvascularization determines the lamellar classification of the canine placenta. At the fetal maternal interface, there are fetal capillaries arranged in a basket shape and maternal capillaries in the form of '' tufts of hair '' interspersed with gaps
- Item Caracterização macroscópica do funículo umbilical de búfalos(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) FERREIRA, Guilherme J. B.C.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; MIGLINO, Maria A.; ROSA, Ricardo Alexandre; ESTEVES, Alessandra; THOMAZ, Juliana M.The umbilical funiculus is the organ that connects the fetus to the placenta where blood and excreta from the fetus pass. Arterial blood flows from the placenta to the fetus through the umbilical veins and venous blood through the arteries, the excretion is carried through the allantoic duct. In this study, nine fetuses were used, which had their funicles measured and dissected, in order to establish developmental correlations and describe their morphology. The funnel was rod-shaped, a parallel arrangement of the vessels in the fetal just portion and a standard ruminant arrangement in the just portion - placental and middle.
- Item Anormalidades na placenta bovina de clones e interferência no desenvolvimento embrionário fetal(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2011-05-30) LUCIANO, Adriano Pedreira; SILVA, Marcos Donizete da; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia deBovines are very important animals for the population of today, as they are an excellent source of protein, with this, several researches are carried out in order to improve the quality and to achieve greater productivity of a herd. New techniques for production and reproduction are important for the advancement of the bovine cut which is growing more and more. An example of this is the cloning of animals of high genetic value, through the transfer of somatic nucleus (NT). This technique causes high loss of fetuses and mortality at birth due to a syndrome, related to the development of the placenta.
- Item Influência do estresse causado pela tosquia e aumento de peso ao nascer de cordeiros(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2007-09-30) MORINI JÚNIOR, João Carlos; MORINI, Adriana Caroprezo; FRANCIOLLI, André Luis Rezende; FAVARON, Phelipe Oliveira; WENCESLAU, Cristiane Valverde; RIBEIRO, Luiz Alberto Oliveira; MANÇANARES, Celina de Almeida Furlanetto; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; BOMBONATO, Pedro PrimoReproductive losses in the southern region of Brazil have been a major problem for sheep farmers and studies in the area report that the weight of lambs at birth when greater than 4Kg allows it to survive during the winter period in which they are born. Due to the need for greater weight at birth, to ensure greater survival, numerous procedures have been performed in an attempt to promote lower mortality. The purpose of this work was to verify the influence of shearing on transplacental glycogen transport and its supposed relationship with the increase in birth weight in lambs (Ovies aries). For the realization of the project 9 sheep of the Australian Merino breed were used which were raised at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - Porto Alegre / RS) - UFRGS in collaboration with the Lutheran Brazilian University - ULBRA. The animals were divided into 2 groups: the first with 5 sheared animals (OVE) at 70 days of the perinatal period and the second with four animals that were kept as control (OVC). The fetuses were collected through a surgical cesarean section performed at the end of pregnancy. For comparative purposes, placental and fetal weight were initially measured; to characterize the placenta, the number of placentons and the length, width and thickness of the placentonium were quantified, with the aid of a caliper. The collected placental material was fixed, dehydrated, diaphanized and included in paraffin, for later making slides and quantifying glycogen. As a partial macroscopic result, the placentas of the sheep in the sheared group had a weight 13% greater than those in the control group, in the fetuses the difference was more expressive, the weight of the fetuses sampled in the sheared group was 25% greater than those in the second group. The differences between the measures of thickness, length and width were insignificant, but always with higher rates in the tested group.
- Item Análise biométrica de embriões, fetos e das membranas placentárias de equinos.(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2008-11-30) FERRAZ, Ana Cláudia Cristiane; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia deFor this study, embryos, fetuses and attached membranes of 23 concepts of mares from Frigorífico Miramar - Pelotas RS were used. Embryos and fetuses were analyzed for size and external developmental characteristics to analyze gestational age. The attached membranes were weighed and measured for later correlation with gestational ages. The results obtained so far indicate that the embryonic and fetal development of horses is very fast in the early stages of development, this being a critical period of placental implantation and the beginning of the endocrine activities of the placenta. The biometric data related to the umbilical cord are not progressive according to development, having shown great variations among the animals studied.
- Item Caracterização da matriz extracelular placentária do camundongo Mus musculus através da microscopia de luz(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2017-09-30) ARAÚJO, Matheus Guilherme de Souza; DELGADO, Ana Lídia Jacintho; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; BORGHESI, Jéssica; FAVARON, Phelipe de OliveiraThe placenta is an important structure for mammals and is responsible for making gas, excreta and metabolite exchanges between the fetus and the mother. Humans and rodents share the same placental type, a hemochorial discoid placenta. Advances in the field of tissue bioengineering have been made using the extracellular matrix of the human placenta as scaffolds, it is believed that just like the human placenta the mouse placenta can also be used as biological material for grafting and tissue recovery. This research aims to make a morphological analysis of the extracellular matrix of the mouse placenta in order to better understand this structure and its function.
