Item Manejo alimentar e reprodutivo de canário da terra (Sicalis flaveola) em cativeiro(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2010-05-30) TREVISAN, Thiago; NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; IVO, Marcos AlexandreThe canary of the land (sicalis flaveola) traditionally imprisoned by the indigenous people for its beautiful song, has six to nine pairs of syringeal muscles, which gives it greater vocalization. The males have a bright orange core and brown wings and the females are yellowish-chested and whitish in the belly, and the puppies have the same color as the female until six months of age. A balanced diet is essential for the well-being and reproductive success of passerines, and it is necessary that birds in captivity be fed basically with seeds and fruits. Various types of seeds are available such as millet, birdseed, oats, niger, flaxseed, hemp and password. The reproductive period of passerines in captivity usually occurs in spring and summer, the place has both well-lit, relative humidity of 60%, airy, with no draft and temperature around 25ºC.Item Manejo alimentar e reprodutivo do trinca ferro (Saltator similis) em cativeiro(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2010-05-30) NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; TREVISAN, Thiago; IVO, Marcos AlexandreThis his literature review aims to describe the food and reproductive management of Trinca-Ferro (Saltator similis) in captivity, about 10,000 species of birds, of which almost a third occur in South America, considered the continent of birds. Brazil is recognized for its mega diversity, currently occupies the second place in numbers of bird species, with 1,822 species. The creation of Trinca-Ferro (Saltator similis) has been one of the greatest passions for bird breeders across Brazil. The bird has the characteristic of being very brave and of a lot of fiber, easy to read, excellent adaptation. Due to its strong and melodious singing, much appreciated by breeders, the natural populations of S. similis have been gradually decimated by the illegal traffic of wild animals. . This species can also be known in certain regions such as Pixarro, Estevão, Bico-de-Ferro, Tico-Tico Guloso, Trinca-Ferro-de-asa-verde, João Velho.Item Análise microscópica e ultraestrutura do saco vitelino de equinos com até 47 dias de gestação(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2010-05-30) FERRAZ, Ana Claudia Cristiane; NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; MANÇANARES, Celina de Almeida Furlanetto; FRANCIOLLI, André Luis Rezende; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia deThis work aimed to describe microscopically the yolk sac of horses up to 47 days of gestation. To carry out this research, 37 placentas and embryos from 15 to 47 days of gestation were collected. The material was taken from adult, mixed breed mares in a slaughterhouse. Embryonic age was estimated according to the methodology used by EVANS SACK (1973). The embryos were destined for microscopic analysis. For analysis under light microscopy the fragments of the yolk sac membranes were fixed in 10% formaldehyde and Bouin followed by routine paraffin processing (TOLOSA et al; 2003). Serial slices with a thickness of 5μm were obtained in a microtome (Leica 2165®) which were submitted to staining by the methods of hematoxylin and eosin, picrosirius, Toluidine blue and Masson's trichrome (TOLOSA et al; 2003). Another part of the material was submitted to transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The yolk sac epithelium varied from globular to columnar, with uni or binucleated cells in a single layer, with a large amount of rough endoplasmic reticulum, distributed evenly, the epithelium supported on the mesenchyme forming vascular islands filled with hemangioblasts, being non-existent in animals older than 47 days of gestation; and characteristics of protein secretion.Item Membranas embrionárias e fetais de equinos sob análise de microscopia eletrônica de transmissão(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2009-09-30) NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; FRANCIOLLI, André Luis Rezende; FERRAZ, Ana Cláudia Cristiane; MANÇANARES, Ana Carolina Furlanetto; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia deTo develop this research, 16 pregnant uteri were used, of which 16 placentas were obtained divided into groups of different stages of development. The material was collected from adult, mixed breed mares up to 100 days of gestation. The membranes were intended for ultra-structural analysis and the results obtained under transmission electron microscopy (MET) were similar to those found by ASSIS-NETO (2005), in bovine membranes, and ITURRIZAGA (2005), in llamas. The fetal membranes did not show relevant structural differences in the different periods studied. The chorion showed columnar epithelium; mesenchymal tissue rich in collagen fibers, the trophoblastic cells being uni, binucleated and rarely trinucleated. A large number of mitochondria were present mainly at the apex of cells. The allantoic presented a simple columnar epithelium with globular nuclei and a large concentration of mitochondria at the cell apex, in the cell base there was a large amount of rough endoplasmic reticulum. The amnion showed a simple, squamous epithelium and at the cellular apex there was a large amount of electrondense granules covered by a rounded halo. The yolk sac epithelium varied from globose to columnar, with uni or binucleate cells in a single layer, with a large amount of rough endoplasmic reticulum, uniformly distributed. Between the endodermal cells, intercellular spaces were found. So far, it is concluded that the mare's placenta is choroidal alloid, epithelial, diffuse, non-deciduous and villous, with corium cells and a yolk sac with characteristics of protein secretion, while amnion presented secretion vesicles, but with less amount of rough endoplasmic reticulum.Item Análise macroscópica do aparelho reprodutor masculino do ouriço cacheiro(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2007-09-30) CASALS, Juliana Barbosa; BARREIRO, Juliana Regina; ROSA, Ricardo Alexandre; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; FAVARON, Phelipe Oliveira; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; MARQUES, Leandro de Oliveira; ANDRADE, Filipe Ian Bindez de; NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; FERRAZ, Ana Cláudia Cristiane; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos EduardoRodents comprise most of the mammalian class. There are currently 2,021 species, organized into 443 genera and 29 families. Hedgehogs (Coendou villosus), are animals that in captivity, reproduce with some ease and become tame. In the urban and metropolitan region their presence is becoming common and this can be identified by the number of accidents involving dogs in the yard, registered in veterinary clinics. This work aimed to describe macroscopically the reproductive apparatus of Coendou villosus (hedgehog) to better clarify the anatomy of this important organ in the wild rodent model, since very little is known about this species. We compared the results obtained with other rodent species already studied. For the macroscopic description of the male reproductive system, 2 animals from donations were used, these animals ended up dying after attack by dogs.Item Análise ultra estrutural das membranas embrionárias e fetais de equinos(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2008-11-30) NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; MIGLINO, Maria Angélica; AMBRÓSIO, Carlos Eduardo; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia deTo develop this research, 13 pregnant uteri were used, of which 13 placentas were obtained divided into groups at different stages of development. The material was taken from adult, mixed breed mares and at different gestation periods of up to 120 days and was destined for ultrastructural analysis. The results obtained from SEM (scanning electron microscopy) were similar to those found by ASSIS-NETO (2005), in bovine membranes. The allantoic showed cells whose surface was bordered by microvilli, forming polyhedral images, protruding “button” shaped structures were also observed. At the amnion, a surface similar to that of the allantois was observed, with its entire length covered by microvilli. In the corium, the apical surface of the cells are rounded and covered by microvilli. The yolk sac showed droplets of secretion at the apex of the cells indicating exocytosis. So far it has been concluded that the mare's placenta is chorioallantoic, epithelial, diffuse, non-deciduous and villous.Item Estudo macroscópico do coração e pulmão de Mocó(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2008-11-30) FERRAZ , Ana Cláudia Cristiane; NASCIMENTO, Priscila Leal do; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; OLIVEIRA, Moacir Franco; ROQUETO, Marco Antônio; ROSA, Ricardo Alexandre; MANÇANARES, Celina de Almeida FurlanettoFor this research, three hearts and three lungs of mocó (Kerodon rupestris) were used, coming from the ESAM Scientific Creatory (School of Agriculture of Mossoró - CEMAS) accredited at IBAMA RN-12-492-004. These organs were measured and macroscopically analyzed. The right and left lungs were macroscopically similar, with the right lung being slightly larger, spongy, multilobed aspect and involved by the visceral pleura. The right lung had a cranial lobe, medium, caudal and accessory subdivided into lateral and medial portion. The left lung showed the cranial lobe subdivided into a cranial and caudal portion, a caudal lobe and an accessory lobe. The anatomical structures of the mocó heart are similar to those of the carnivores, with a rounded apex, a thick interventricular septum and a more pronounced paraconal interventricular branch of the left coronary artery.
