Item Comissão Organizadora e Científica(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) PESSINATI, Bárbara Dezotti; FIGUEIREDO, Cristiane Leite; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva; ALBERTI, Karina; VERDURICO, Lenita Camargo; BERALDO, Mariana Ramos Andrade; ALBERTO, Maryna Lança Villia; SOUZA, Mariely Thais de; OLIVEIRA, Ana Flávia de Carvalho; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; HATSCHBACH, Eduardo; VARZIM, Fernanda Leme Silva Bastos; ALVES, Jefferson Douglas Soares; MESQUITA, José Ricardo Carvalho; ROCHA, Lívia Maria de Souza; MARTINS FILHO, Luiz Paulo; TORRES, Maria Lúcia Marcucci; MARTUCCI, Mariane Ferracin; PINTO, Maristela Pimentel; ALBERTO, Maryna Lança Vilia; SOUZA, Mariely Thais de; AIUB, Plínio Bruno; GRIGOLETTO, Renan; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; GOUVEIA, YonaraThis scientific academic meeting ENAVET-2019 aims to present the articles prepared by students throughout the undergraduate course, encouraging and improving the act on the importance of science and its contribution to the most diverse covered by Veterinary Medicine.Item Uso do ponto Yin Tang como terapia coadjuvante na sedação(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) COUTINHO, Meline de Paula; AGUIAR, Júlia Fernandes; PIRES, Barbara; HATSCHBACH, EduardoWithin the anesthetic practice, tranquilization is closely linked to the balance of vital parameters, interfering in the pre, trans and postoperative period, as it allows for outpatient manipulations, potentiates induction anesthetics and necessary maintenance in numerous situations, from restraints, invasive procedures to practices that lead to stress. In anesthesiology, due to the morphological and physiological diversity found, satisfactory reassurance is a challenging issue. As an integrative therapy used concomitantly with already traditional protocols, there is pharmacopuncture, prolonging and potentiating the drugs and allowing the use of subdoses in the sedation. This literature review aims to highlight the use of integrative medicine, more specifically pharmacopuncture, as a highly effective tool in the sedation of various species.Item Uso do sulfato de magnésio na anestesiologia veterinária(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) OLIVEIRA, Amabily R. Ramos de; CARVALHO, Barbara Pires de; BRIDI, Fabíola de Bem; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva; HATSCHBACH, EduardoMagnesium sulfate has been used for many years in human medicine to control and prevent seizures associated with eclampsia and to inhibit preterm labor in pregnant women. However, its use has been gradually growing in anesthesiology, making its indications broader, being a drug with analgesic and sedative properties with potential for neuro and cardio protection. The objective of this work is to review the physiology and pharmacology of magnesium sulfate, as well as to show its applications and advantages in its use as an adjunct in anesthesia and why one should go in search of new studies of its administration in veterinary medicine.Item Uso da cetamina S (+) como adjuvante analgésico em pequenos animais(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) CARVALHO, Barbara Pires; OLIVEIRA, Amabily R. Ramos de; BRIDI, Fabíola de Bem; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva; HATSCHBACH, EduardoThe care with the health of dogs and cats becomes more and more evident with the socialization of the animal with the human; quality of life and pain control are considered very important aspects, since they are family members. Therefore, veterinarians are dedicated to recognizing and treating pain in animals, since pain perception is difficult to quantify in them. Analgesia is a fundamental issue not only for quality of life, but in pre, trans and post surgery, laboratory tests and clinical routine procedures. Therefore, knowledge of the mechanism of action of drugs that help, as adjuvants, opioids in pain management is essential. Ketamine is a dissociative drug that at low doses has promising prospects in analgesia, blocking the activation of NMDA receptors (N-methyl D-Aspartate), thus inhibiting the binding with glutamate, a nerve impulse transmitter, interrupting the painful sensation and temporarily desensitized her. The objective of this work is to review the properties of the use of ketamine and its isomers in subdoses for general analgesia.Item Controle da dor oncológica em pequenos animais: revisão de literatura(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-01-18) BRIDI, Fabíola de Bem; OLIVEIRA, Amabily R. Ramos de; CARVALHO, Bárbara Pires; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva; HATSCHBACH, Eduardo; OLIVEIRA, Júlia Bonilha deCancer is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in elderly animals, and pain relief is essential for a better quality of life for the patient and must be done correctly. In order to institute treatment, it is necessary to identify the type of pain, assess the physiological and behavioral changes, location, recognize the patient's physical state, the treatment phase, the limitations and risks of the procedures. Scales and questionnaires are also used to assist the veterinarian. Pain can be treated with different drugs such as anti-inflammatory drugs, opioids, and there are also alternative therapies such as acupuncture and physiotherapy, which help in the process of controlling cancer pain. The present work aims to present a literature review on the control of cancer pain in small animals, highlighting the importance of diagnosing, identifying the physical and behavioral changes in dogs and cats caused by pain and treating it correctly, according to the evolution of the disease. tumor, providing a better quality of life to the animal with cancer.Item Condrossarcoma em cão: relato de um caso(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) MANÇANARES, Celina de Almeida Furlanetto; LOPES, Paula R.; HATSCHBACH, Eduardo; DI SANTIS, Giovana G. W.; BANDARRA, Enio P.; ALVES, Jefferson Douglas SoaresChondrosarcoma is the second most common malignant matrix-producing bone tumor. It consists of irregular and disordered masses of immature cartilage that invade the tissues and metastasize through the lymphatic and blood circulations. It affects all species, but is more common in adult dogs of large breeds and in sheep.
