Scales and questionnaires are also used to assist the veterinarian. Pain can be treated with different drugs such as anti-inflammatory drugs, opioids, and there are also alternative therapies such as acupuncture and physiotherapy, which help in the process of controlling cancer pain. The present work aims to present a literature review on the control of cancer pain in small animals, highlighting the importance of diagnosing, identifying the physical and behavioral changes in dogs and cats caused by pain and treating it correctly, according to the evolution of the disease. tumor, providing a better quality of life to the animal with cancer.
