- Item Uso da técnica de Pennhip para diagnóstico de displasia coxo femural(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) ALBUQUERQUE, Ana Lidia Silva; MARTINS, Ana Carolina; ALVES, Jefferson Douglas SoaresThe Hip Dysplasia (DCF) is a pathology with the highest number of incidences in the routine of the veterinary clinic of small animals, mainly affecting dogs of larger breeds. and medium sizes. One of the main clinical signs presented by the animal is lameness, which manifests itself due to the degree of the disease in the animal. (BARROS et al., 2008). This disease has several factors involved, such as sex, race, genetics, age, management, nutrition, obesity or in some cases the animal will present with muscle atrophy. However, the primary factor evaluated in every animal that presents this pathology is the laxity of the ligament, which consequently generates disharmony or instability of this joint.

It's a disease where its etiology is still unknown, but an ischemic factor occurs and, as a consequence, necrosis of the femoral head occurs. In this work, the most affected breeds and which complementary exams are important for the conclusion of early diagnosis and possible treatment were mentioned.

B.C.; CARVALHO, Ana Flávia de; ALVES, Jefferson Douglas SoaresTeratology is the study of the causes, mechanisms and manifestations of deviations in both structural and functional development, embryos that were useful in the studies of a series of these anomalies and this work seeks to contribute in some way, reporting a rare case that in Brazil has not yet been described. For this case report, an animal (bird Struthio camelus) was used that had an embryonic malformation and presented with two columns, a trachea, an esophagus and the joined body, but with duplication of the limbs including the wing.

It consists of irregular and disordered masses of immature cartilage that invade the tissues and metastasize through the lymphatic and blood circulations. It affects all species, but is more common in adult dogs of large breeds and in sheep.

Transmission occurs through the tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus. The clinical signs vary according to the phase they are in: acute, subclinical or chronic. Myocarditis is usually seen in the chronic phase of the infection. The present report aims to describe the occurrence of myocarditis diagnosed in histopathological examination after necropsy, in a dog infected with Erlichia canis treated at the veterinary hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University Center of the Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos.

It is associated with chronic exposure to progesterone after heat, or the exogenous application of progestin-based contraceptives and is characterized by an increase in the uterus wall and the presence of cysts that are readily seen in the ultrasound examination, which has shown to be a fast and highly sensitive for diagnosis. In the case reported, the animal presented an excessive abdominal bulging and ultrasonographically presented a uterus extending from the epigastric region to the hypogastric region.

In human medicine, the diagnosis is usually made during prenatal care by ultrasound examination. This study aims to report the intrauterine diagnosis of hydrops fetalis, in a poodle bitch in the final stage of pregnancy through ultrasound examination. The change was identified by the presence of pleural and peritoneal effusion. The ultrasound findings were confirmed in post-mortem examinations.
