Item Análise morfológica de embriões ovinos produzidos em laboratório a partir de oócitos aspirados de doadoras multíparas, primíparas e pré - púberes da raça Santa Inês(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2011-05-30) MARTINS, João Flávio Panattoni; SANTOS, Thainá de Oliveira; SILVA, Marcos Donizete da; SOUZA, Bruna Manzer de; OLIVEIRA, Priscila C. de; ROSAS FILHO, Adauto de Carvalho; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; FIGUEIREDO, Cristiane LeiteThis work aimed to analyze the morphology of embryos at seven days of development, produced in the laboratory from oocytes aspirated from three different classes of donors of the Santa Inês race (multiparous, primiparous and prepubertal). The analyzed embryos had a discoid shape and were delimited by the pellucid zone (ZP). In the morula and initial blastocyst stages, the ZP measured from 5 to 10 μm in thickness, revealing to be thinner in the expanded blastocyst phase. In general, the structure and ultrastructure of Santa Inês sheep embryos, originating from in vitro fertilization (IVF) and evaluated in this study, corroborate many of the observations by Colarco and Mclaren (1976), Ferrer et al. (1995) and Coccero et al. (2002). The most striking aspect was the intense uniform distribution of lipid inclusions in the cytoplasm of the blastomeres, both in the internal cell mass and in the trophoblastic cells, regardless of the origin of the oocyte, suggesting that the morphology seems to be conditioned mainly to the culture system employed, which seems to favor the accumulation of intracellular lipids.Item Comissão Organizadora e Científica(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2019-09-18) PESSINATI, Bárbara Dezotti; FIGUEIREDO, Cristiane Leite; BONFANTE, Juliana da Silva; ALBERTI, Karina; VERDURICO, Lenita Camargo; BERALDO, Mariana Ramos Andrade; ALBERTO, Maryna Lança Villia; SOUZA, Mariely Thais de; OLIVEIRA, Ana Flávia de Carvalho; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; HATSCHBACH, Eduardo; VARZIM, Fernanda Leme Silva Bastos; ALVES, Jefferson Douglas Soares; MESQUITA, José Ricardo Carvalho; ROCHA, Lívia Maria de Souza; MARTINS FILHO, Luiz Paulo; TORRES, Maria Lúcia Marcucci; MARTUCCI, Mariane Ferracin; PINTO, Maristela Pimentel; ALBERTO, Maryna Lança Vilia; SOUZA, Mariely Thais de; AIUB, Plínio Bruno; GRIGOLETTO, Renan; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; GOUVEIA, YonaraThis scientific academic meeting ENAVET-2019 aims to present the articles prepared by students throughout the undergraduate course, encouraging and improving the act on the importance of science and its contribution to the most diverse covered by Veterinary Medicine.Item Correção de laceração perineal de terceiro grau em égua: revisão de literatura(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2004-09-30) FIGUEIREDO, Cristiane Leite; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; MESQUITA, José Ricardo de Carvalho; FOZ FILHO, Roberto Pimenta de Pádua; FREITAS, Marinella Riegger deAmong the postpartum traumas in the mare, third degree perineal laceration stands out. The correction must be surgical, but it does not need to be performed immediately after the lesions occur. The lacerated tissues are swollen, necrotic and contaminated, and it is advisable to wait at least 3 to 6 weeks before undergoing reparative surgery. Numerous techniques with or without modifications have been described, but the basic principle of reconstructing a partition between the rectum and the vestibule, and the restoration of a functional perineal body has been recommended.Item Estudo de embriões ovinos em laboratório a partir de doadoras juvenis da raça Santa Inês submetidas a estimulação ovariana(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2010-05-30) MARTINS, João Flávio Panattoni; SANTOS, Thainá de Oliveira; SILVA, Marcos Donizete da; SOUZA, Bruna Nanzer; OLIVEIRA, Priscila Carvalho de; FIGUEIREDO, Cristiane Leite; ROSAS FILHO, Adauto de Carvalho; ABREU, Rogério Navarro deThis study aimed to verify the superovulatory response of juvenile Santa Inês sheep and to evaluate the viability of oocytes obtained for in vitro production (IVP) of embryos. Eight females aged between 6 and 8 weeks were selected, distributed in 2 homogeneous groups of 04 animals. The females in Group 1 (G1) were submitted to exogenous ovarian stimulation and in Group 2 (G2) the females were aspirated free of hormonal treatment. From a total of 309 retrieved oocytes (G1 = 187 and G2 = 122), cleavage rates of 49.2% and 40.2% were obtained for G1 (n = 92) and G2 (n = 45) respectively, and 18.72% and 17.96% of viable embryo development in D7 (G1 = 35 and G2 = 19). Although the results suggest a better efficiency in the recovery of oocytes and cleavage rate in G1, the rates of obtaining viable embryos in D7 did not differ numerically between the two groups. Our results suggest that, although there was great variation in the amount of oocytes obtained and the production of embryos among animals, regardless of treatment, the production of embryos by in vitro fertilization (IVF) from juvenile females treated or not with exogenous hormones proved to be viable, even with good efficiency of the hormonal protocol used for females of the Santa Inês breed.Item Insuficiência hepática: relato de caso(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2011-05-30) BARROS, Mariana Cabral Ruggero; FALCÃO, Sara Carolina Fernandez; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; FERREIRA, Francisco Pupo Pires; ROSAS FILHO, Adauto de CarvalhoThe liver has functions of metabolism, excretion and synthesis of some substances important to the body. The most commonly observed signs are anorexia, depression, colic, weight loss, jaundice, dysfunctions in the central nervous system, photosensitization, ventral edema and hemorrhages Liver failure can be caused by toxic plants, infectious, neoplastic causes, by the use of medications. The information collected during anamnesis, complete blood count and biochemical examination (enzymes AST, GGT, Alkaline Phosphatase, SDH) are essential for the diagnosis of the condition. An Apaloosa horse, 12 years old, 436 kg showed signs of acute abdomen on the 19th of March 2011 and was sent to Hospital Veterinário Vicente Borelli located in São João da Boa Vista on the 21st of March of the same year, but without evidence of abdominal pain and with a report of a fracture in the posterior limb two years ago, at which time many medications were administered and a history of progressive weight loss a month ago. Through anamnesis and complementary exams, tubular renal injury and liver failure were diagnosed. The animal received forty liters of intense fluid therapy when it arrived at HOVET. Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, omeoprazole as gastric protector and an alternative supplementation with albumin and powdered dextrose due to low serum amounts of glucose and albumin were also instituted in this animal.Item Pneumonia em potros causada por Rhodococcus equi(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2009-09-30) RUFATO, Carolina Oliveira Andrade; ABREU, Rogério Navarro deRhodococcosis is one of the most important diseases in foals from one to six months of age, caused by Rhodococcus equi leading to bronchopneumonia with pulmonary abscess and / or enteritis, polysynovitis, osteomyelitis and uveitis. The objective was to bibliographic survey of rhodococcosis, describing its etiology, clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of this disease that affects foals in the early stage of life.Item Raiva, uma doença letal, cuidados e profilaxia(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2001-11-30) NAVARRO, Daniela H. R.; RENNÓ, Juliana G.; MANÇANARES, Celina Almeida Furlanetto; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; MESQUITA, José Ricardo C.Rabies is a lethal virus-transmitted disease for both men and animals. In the urban area the dog is the main transmitter of the disease and can occur through bites, scratches or licks of damaged skin or mucous. This disease has been progressively diagnosed in our region and, due to the great risk that this zoonosis poses to men, we aim to alert colleagues and professionals; reduce human exposure to rabies. Many cases of animal rabies have been observed among the various animal species, such as felines, canines, horses, cattle and sheep.Item Retenção de mecônio em potro: relato de caso(Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2010-05-30) RUFATO, Carolina Oliveira Andrade; MORAES, Mariana Mara; ABREU, Rogério Navarro de; FERREIRA, Francisco Pupo PiresA two-day-old Puro Sangue Inglês (PSI) foal was sent to the Veterinary Hospital of the Fundação Octávio Bastos, São João da Boa Vista-SP with abdominal pain a few hours after birth. Conservative treatment was unsuccessful then he was referred to surgery for an exploratory laparotomy with minor colon enterotomy. The animal was discharged after one week.
