    The aim of this project is to develop an innovative cosmetic product that benefits the population, particularly individuals suffering from dandruff. Produced in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 9, the solid shampoo utilizes selenium sulfide, which has anti dandruff properties, along with tea tree and copaiba oils, which have healing properties. This combination provides cleansing and refreshment for users without drying out or irritating the scalp. The product's special design features ridges that gently massage the scalp, preventing the need for fingers and nails, thereby promoting a gentle hair cleaning process. The unique combination of characteristics and ingredients makes the product sustainable, healthy, and research-backed, contributing to scientific advancement in the cosmetic industry. The entire production process was based on research in scientific articles, laboratory tests, and guidance from instructors. The tests involved pre-established preparation techniques, scientifically grounded in other projects. Regarding the results, they were satisfactory. The product achieved bar consistency, there was foam formation and had a light lemon scent, although the characteristic smell of tea tree oil was still predominant. In conclusion, the development of an anti-dandruff and healing solid shampoo requires extensive research, knowledge, and multiple formulation tests. It is important to consider numerous factors, such as the product's sensory attributes, conservation and durability in different environments, appropriate packaging, and labeling following correct specifications. This underscores the complexity of the project and highlights the importance of developing a product for people living with dandruff.

    The development of this lip product aims to provide a complete solution for lip health and protection, combining deep hydration with anti-inflammatory action. Its formulation has been carefully designed to strengthen the integrity and well-being of the lip skin, while offering an effective defense against pathogenic microorganisms, including fungi and bacteria. With antiseptic action, the product not only fights harmful microorganisms, but also preserves the balance of beneficial bacteria that make up the skin's natural microbiota, essential for maintaining a healthy skin barrier. Developed with a focus on improving the texture and softness of the lips, the product provides a soft sensation, making it ideal for daily use, promoting healthier, protected and hydrated lips.

    The Neurogummy project develops a pharmaceutical gummy containing Coenzyme Q10, creatine, and vitamin B12, aimed at preventing and treating neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Huntington's. This combination of active ingredients protects nerve cells by improving bioenergetics and reducing oxidative stress, both essential for neuronal health. With a tutti-frutti flavor and developed according to ANVISA standards, the gummy is safe and practical. Targeted at individuals with neurodegenerative diseases or those seeking prevention.

    Desenvolvimento de gel de calêndola e aloe e vera para rosacéa: estudo de propriedades e possíveis benefícios

    The objective of this project was to develop an initial formulation of a gel based on Aloe Vera and Calendula to treat the symptoms of rosacea. Through a literature review, it was found that Aloe Vera has moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, while Calendula is anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, and soothing. Rosacea, a chronic condition that affects the skin of the face, can be controlled with appropriate treatments. The AloeLêndula Gel was formulated to calm and reduce redness and irritation associated with rosacea, improving the appearance and comfort of the skin. Daily application of the gel aims to reduce the skin's reactivity to internal and external stimuli, offering relief and comfort. The initial formulation, based on the beneficial properties of these ingredients, proves to be a natural and effective alternative for skin care in rosacea, contributing to symptom control and improving the quality of life of patients.

    Desenvolvimento de suplemento alimentar cardioprotetor para cães obesos e cardiopatas

    The project aims to develop an innovative dietary supplement, in paste form, for dogs with heart disease and obesity, targeting improved cardiovascular health and weight management. The supplement will include L-carnitine, which aids in fat metabolism, and taurine, which supports cardiac function. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 9, the project promotes global health and national industry innovation. The initial research was thorough, ensuring the prototype’s uniqueness and compliance with the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) standards, covering processing, preservation, and safety. The formulation is grounded in scientific studies and knowledge gained from the course, with an emphasis on product safety. Throughout development, all regulatory norms were followed, conducting tests to confirm the product's safety and legal compliance. The paste proved palatable and safe for dogs, with therapeutic doses. Preliminary analysis shows significant potential for "CardioPaws," though further studies, including clinical trials, are needed to validate its efficacy. The project received support from Pet Fórmulas, which provided essential raw materials.

    The study developed a brightening and moisturizing serum with chamomile glycolic extract for nighttime use, aiming to renew and even out the skin. With a light texture and aligned with SDGs 3 and 9, the product promotes health and scientific advancement, meeting quality and stability standards, although it has not yet been tested in vitro or in vivo.

    The growing concern for sustainability and the benefits of natural cosmetics has encouraged the creation of products that combine safety, efficacy and respect for the environment. The purpose of this study was to develop an innovative lip gloss that integrates biocompatibility, self-care and sustainable practices, using natural ingredients and environmentally responsible production methods. The product was formulated to meet the needs of bioavailability and promote consumer well-being, providing restorative and nourishing care for the lips. Among the main procedures performed, the following stand out: the careful selection of natural ingredients with moisturizing and protective properties, the development of a prototype using natural beetroot dye, and the execution of stability tests to ensure consistency, durability and safety of the product. In addition, sensory analyses were performed to evaluate the texture, appearance and effect of the gloss on the lips. The most significant results were a gloss with the ideal texture, vibrant color from beetroot and a biocompatible formulation. The formulation presents itself as an effective and sustainable alternative, in line with the growing demand of consumers who are looking for products with low environmental impact and that meet their expectations regarding the origin of the cosmetics they use.

    INOVAÇÃO DE PRODUTO ALIMENTAR VETERINÁRIO A BASE DE TENEBRIO MOLITOR

    Tenebrio molitor, also known as mealworm, is an insect that has been studied for use as a source of protein in veterinary food due to its high sustainability, practicality and low emission of polluting gases. This project seeks to develop an innovative veterinary food in the form of a biscuit rich in proteins, vitamins and essential nutrients for muscle, bone and cardiovascular health and obesity control, for older dogs, using Tenebrio molitor derivatives as the main component. The biscuit should have a pleasant flavor and a crunchy texture that will encourage dogs to chew and its formulation will be composed of glucosamine and chondroitin, type II collagen, which are substances that help in the regeneration of cartilage and in the prevention of joint diseases, as well as vitamins and enzymes that help in the absorption of the large amount of proteins present in the product. It is concluded that the product is an innovation that could bring both environmental and economic benefits, in addition to promoting a better quality of life for healthy dogs that are athletes, as well as those that have some physiological weakness that require nutritional attention to replace cartilage and strengthen bones and muscles, as this will depend on the dose administered to the animal.

    The Tenebrio molitor insect, popularly known as mealworm, has been researched for its use as a component in veterinary pharmaceutical products, such as food and cosmetics. This interest is due to the high sustainability, practicality and low emission of polluting gases associated with its breeding and processing. The objective of this project is to develop an innovative veterinary cosmetic product, in the form of a creamy O/W emulsion, intended for use in dogs, with the active ingredient being derivatives of the Tenebrio molitor insect. The cosmetic product developed has suitable physical and chemical characteristics, such as texture, viscosity and odor. In addition, the product contains natural ingredients with beneficial properties for the skin, highlighting Tenebrio molitor oil, which is rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids, with healing and moisturizing action, especially indicated for the treatment of dog paw pads. The veterinary cosmetic product developed in this project represents an innovation that can contribute to environmental and economic sustainability, as well as to improving the quality of life of dogs, who often suffer injuries as a result of their active lifestyle.

    With a critical eye on the 17 UN goals, laboratory experiments were carried out at the Octávio Bastos University, with the aim of following SDG 11, which among several goals, aims to have a sustainable system by 2030. With a view to a future problem, prototypes of a moisturizing cream for dogs were developed in the laboratory, with a vegan formulation inspired by an article, but, using the product's innovation, which is Tenebrio mollitor oil, which together with the other raw materials that are also sustainable will not be a 100% vegan cream, but it will be a sustainable cream that in the future will not cause so many impacts to the environment.
