Through the scientific literature of physiology and pathophysiology, studies and Brazilian guidelines this material briefly explains how the nutrients are, the consequences of obesity, the tests that should be carried out to identify it and the main medicines used in treatment. Remembering that obesity is not such a simple disease, and yes, multifactorial, the individuality of each person must always be considered.
