The right to learn and inclusive education are deeply linked in the school context. The right to learn guarantees all students access to quality education, and inclusive education seeks to ensure that this right is respected regardless of differences. As a result, schools begin to adopt pedagogical practices, policies and structures that promote equity, participation, inclusion and success for all children, thus recognizing and valuing the diversity of students' abilities, needs and characteristics.

    Gestão e Espaços Escolares
(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-11-30) PEREIRA, Helton Carlos Sabino; MEDICI,Fatima Aparecida
The teacher's role is not only to teach, but also to collaborate with the formation of students' social being, helping to build awareness and empathy towards others. The teacher in the aforementioned case did not have the correct attitude towards the student because any and all doubts, even if they are not related to the content, must receive the necessary attention because, however simple and futile the doubt may seem, it can actually be a serious doubt and, often, the teacher is the only one accessible enough to resolve these issues. In this case, the teacher should have listened to the student and mediated an intervention and from there plan some content that explores topics such as bullying, empathy and solidarity as well as inclusion. Dedicating time to talk about these topics and working on this with students is important as school is often the only place where this type of content will be covered in the student's life.

Brazilian education participates in a continuous search to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process. For the curricular components of history and geography, the idea is the same: it is necessary for teachers to innovate their practice and provide new experiences to students. Current trends in teaching these curricular components require understanding and reflection in relation to the old, overwhelming and rigid practice, full of memorization and with passive students to take a conscious, critical and active stance in their daily lives. This work aims to assist in the understanding and teaching practice in the teaching and learning process of curricular components and current trends in history and geography aligned with transversal themes and innovation.

The National Education Plan (PNE) 2014–2024 seeks, predominantly in its Goal 4, to universalize school attendance for students with disabilities, global developmental disorders and high abilities or giftedness, preferably in the regular education network. The results of the Goal revealed, in different age groups, discrepancies in the access and rate of schooling, literacy and illiteracy between the population with and without disabilities. The observed differences are accentuated in the population with intellectual and motor disabilities. Such data corroborate the need to rebuild the school educational model for the effective inclusion of people with disabilities. Special education from the perspective of inclusion conceives the school space as an environment for carrying out proposals in the light of equality, in which everyone has the right to learn assured, considering the specificities of the subjects, designing adequate services for motor, visual needs , linguistic and cognitive skills of students enrolled in regular schools.
