This work arises with the main objective of giving greater visibility and bringing appreciation to the history of the rural population, reflecting on mental health care and paying attention to the living and health conditions of rural populations, to the ways of sociability and coexistence that mark everyday relationships in these scenarios, as well as traditional knowledge and practices and informal resources that are part of the therapeutic arsenal of these populations, raises a series of theoretical-methodological challenges for mental health care and management in the Unified Health System.Item Museu da Pessoa(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-06-30) CABRAL, Ana Carolina dos S.; ARAÚJO, Ana Gabriela de; PINTO, Heloisa dos Santos; MELO, Kamila Maria Silva de; LEANDRINI, Laila Teixeira; MOUSESSIAN, Viviane Fonseca; BUENO, Leonor CristinaThe present work aimed to present the importance of discussing the life of rural workers within psychological approaches, such as Experimental Behavior Analysis, Sociological and Anthropological Bases of Psychology, Professional Ethics in Psychology, Social and Community Psychology; promoting self-knowledge to the individual. The increase in work is justified by the scarcity of studies on the lives of rural workers, with most of the articles revolving around agriculture and the profit that this activity brought to Brazil. A bibliographical review and an interview with a rural worker were carried out and subsequently an analysis of the data obtained.
