brought direct implications for companies. In the laboratory sector, the requirements of consumers are focused on the actions that the organization performs with its biological discards and actions aimed at reducing their negative impacts on environment. With the eyes of stakeholders focused on changes organizations and their impacts on the environment the objective of this work is to analyze the sustainable practices of a clinical analysis laboratory. Currently, much is heard about sustainability in organizations, but it has always been like that. The business sector and ecology were considered more distant. Ecology is considered the science that studies the relationship between organisms living and their environment. For the business world, ecology is considered a support that provides the necessary resources for companies to develop their activities. In the 1990s it was possible to observe a scenario of changes in the worldwide economic and productive process that brought implications for companies. To the transformations in the international economy and the globalization of production and consumption were accompanied by other changes, such as an increase in the level of demand for consumers with the quality of the products offered. With a view to scenario in which more and more stakeholders (the organization's strategic public) require the organization to turn its attention to sustainability it is necessary understand how an organization responds to these pressures.
