The present work allowed the understanding that the obese individual is part of the environment, and that it is not a matter of inadequate energy management, but of how he perceives himself as a being of the environment, for not being adequate to the social concept, or even when he keeps his dissatisfactions and difficulties in the form of repressions in the unconscious and does not know how to deal with them, he makes food a way to go astray or even when he cannot balance his organismic wisdom. These concepts served as the basis for the objective of building an educational booklet with language that is easy for young people and adults to understand, in order to help in promoting clarification and prevention against obesity.

Aspects such as anxiety and the stress of academic life are responsible for the development of depression in students and can lead them to drop out of the course. For a better analysis of this situation, the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale for Adults (DASS-21 – short form) was used.

For most university students, entering college and staying there is somehow an effort and generates doubts, for example in terms of which course to take, or if this is what they really want for life, as they understand that the choice of course is unique and cannot be changed during your professional and academic life. Problems with focus, many activities, reconciling work, social life and academic life, are some of the points that cause pressure and discomfort in students, which can lead to stress. (CASTILLOA et al., 2000) In an approximation of the referential field of mental health, it becomes noticeable that every day, individuals develop different disorders. In the meantime, at universities it is believed that anxiety and depression have been rivals for students' mental health. (CASTILLOA et al., 2000)

Due to the high degree of stress involved in the academic environment, common mental disorders (CMD) and Academic Burnout are increasingly common in the academic population, presenting themselves as an aggravating factor in graduation completion. They are associated with decreased quality of life, relationship problems and psychological distress. Studies that investigate the prevalence of CMD are usually focused on the occupational, academic and health fields. The survey, carried out by the Psychology course, focused on Physiotherapy students, indicates that between 27.8% and 44.4% of their samples present some type of mental stress, depression or anxiety. The aim of the present study is to identify these issues, using the DASS-21 scale, among Physiotherapy students at the Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos. This is a survey carried out from April to June 2022, with 17 students from the first and fifth module of the Physiotherapy course.
