    In this work, the study units referring to the Management of Investments and Risks and Agribusiness Management. In the current times in which we live, all companies, regardless of the quality of their products or services, strong brand or purchasing power, are vulnerable to risk. With that, it is necessary identify which risks a company has, as well as ways to cancel the risks effects that such risks may generate or even prevent from occurring. Allied to that, will be analyzed through practical examples how this process is done, more specifically in the Agriculture sector, where the risks are many and the consequences can be serious.

    This project will present the concept of risk management, how to carry out the risk management, and how to use the risk matrix tool together with the PDCA cycle in the decision process of small rural properties. Risk management is a whole set of activities aimed at manage and control an entity in relation to the hazards that may be presented. The analysis of risk management, to be successful, it is necessary to have the observation of the environment in which the company is inserted, as well as the laws that it must follow, market competitors and organizational culture.

    For the elaboration of the Integrated Project (IP) and in accordance with the title “Management of Risks in Small Rural Properties", we will analyze risk management for a small rural property. Brazilian agriculture has undergone a process of modernization, making necessary a change in the way of managing a rural property, because, Currently, the market has a lot of influence on agricultural production. the rural producer needs to act in a systemic way, interacting with all links in the production chain, and the rural property needs to professionalize, modernize and be seen as a rural enterprise. However, rural producers have sought knowledge in the areas administration, commerce, market, finance and among others.

We will approach in this work agribusiness, especially family farming and how it is inserted in the market. We will talk a little about how this management works and the PDCA cycle will be described, widely used in large organizations that can also be applied in agribusiness. Every company is exposed to risks on a daily basis. Therefore providing services or providing products has its internal and external risks.

    This work aims to demonstrate an analysis of risk management for a small rural property. According to article 4, II, a, of the Reform Law Agrária (Law 8.629/93) determines as a small rural property the one with an area reached between one and four fiscal modules, in which each fiscal module can vary between 5 and 110 hectares, depending on the total area of ​​the municipality. The term agribusiness was created in 1957 by John Davis and Ray Goldberg, professors at Harvard University. This word, translated into Portuguese, means agribusiness. At that time, the agricultural sector was already strongly established for upstream industries (fertilizers, machinery, agrochemicals, seeds, among others) and its processing and distribution in the United States

    In this project we will address Investment and Risk Management, where funds of investments present risks and to manage them actions are necessary that the minimize. Diagnosing the risk is the role of fund management, which seeks to reduce the exposure to it to exploit exponential gains, being an important area in this segment. Risk implies the uncertainty of an application and allows an estimate of the probability of the investment generating the return expected by the shareholders, in which in finance is the variation of the obtained return compared to the expected return, both positive and negative, therefore, the following study is related to the identification and assessment of these risks and the way they are being managed.

One of the methods used to carry out risk management the SWOT Matrix, evaluating for example the Strengths and Threats.

To this end, the following sequence is used: plan risk management, identify risks, perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, plan responses to risks, monitor and control risks
