- Item Anestesia locorregional para ablação do conduto auditivo direto em felino: relato de caso(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-10-18) JACKSON, Giulia Stefani; BORGES JÚNIOR, Darcy Vilhena; OCTAVIANO, Giovanna Marquiti; CHANQUETTE, Maria Victória Marchenta; BONFANTE, Juliana da SilvaThe painful stimulus during a surgical procedure is extremely harmful for the patient's anesthesia and recovery. A very effective way to control pain is through locoregional blocks, responsible for helping to maintain stable hemodynamics as they substantially contribute to the reduction of trans and postoperative drugs. Using them, it is possible to inhibit pain at its source of transmission, preventing the stimulus from spreading, bringing peace of mind to the procedure as a whole. The local anesthetics of choice vary between lidocaine and bupivacaine, which act to inhibit sodium channels, responsible for ceasing nerve stimulation, preventing them from reaching the nerves corresponding to the site of application. This anesthetic method has proven increasingly effective and necessary within anesthesia.
