    The relationship between art, culture and censorship is a topic that has been the focus of debates, reflections, social movements and the creation of public policies throughout history. In the current context, the guarantee of artistic freedom by the Federal Constitution of 1988 has the function of protecting the expression of intellectual, artistic and scientific activity, regardless of censorship or license. However, the tension between art, culture and censorship still exists in various contexts, which highlights the need for educational actions to minimize these tensions and guarantee the effective artistic freedom provided for by law.
