For a long time, schools had teaching methods, which today we can entitle as traditional methods. The classrooms were filled with books, dictionaries, booklets and the student was forced to repeat several times what the teacher dictated in the classroom. classroom as a learning technique. But, as we know, these methods by repetition were not effective, the student learned to read, write and memorize, but was unable to become a citizen able to reflect and create a critical sense in relation to the environment in which he lives. According to Freire: “An education that seeks to develop awareness and the critical attitude, thanks to which man chooses and decides, frees him instead to submit it, to tame it, to adapt it, as it does so often education in force in a large number of countries in the world, education which tends to adjust the individual to society, rather than promote it in its own line.” (FREIRE, 1979, p. 19). Freire further states that: “So that literacy is not purely mechanical and a matter only of memory, it is necessary to lead the adults to become aware first, to who soon become literate themselves. Consequently, this method to the extent that it helps man to deepen his awareness of his problematic and his condition as a person and, therefore, as a subject – becomes a path of choice for him. At this moment, the man politicized itself.” (FREIRE, 1979, p.26). Over the years, there have been changes in literacy processes. With the modernity, it was necessary for schools to adapt with the use of equipment technologies and use them in teaching methods, making them more effective and able to transform classrooms into a facilitating, didactic and favorable environment for interaction between educator and student. When schools apply technological tools in the teaching environment, it transforms the student's perspective, making them more and more beings with logical reasoning, able to associate ideas and playfully work on new writing and reading skills, consequently encouraging the student to become the protagonist in their educational journey.
