    This work presents an analysis of the Açude Farm located in São João da Boa Vista, with Braulio Leandrini as the responsible agronomist, where coffee and soy are grown. The farm has a total of 208 hectares and 159 hectares are used for cultivation.

    On 03/11, we visited the Progresso farm, located in the municipality of Vargem Grande Do Sul, São Paulo, where we were received by the owner and farmer, Tiago Milan, who kindly informed us that the aforementioned farm has 160 hectares, where various crops are cultivated. crops such as potatoes, corn, beans, sorghum, beets, among others and that on that date there were 18 hectares planted with soybeans, variety DS7417 IPRO, sown in mid-November, therefore already at R6 phenological stage.

    Soy is the main crop in our country's production chain, to learn more about this cultivation in practice, we conducted an interview at Estância Xodó, located in the municipality of Guaranésia, State of Minas Gerais, Bairro do Trevo, where Producer Dr. Donizete Ribeiro do Vale cultivates a soybean area of 35 leased hectares and also has its own area for growing coffee with 14 hectares, in the area dedicated to cereals it also plants sorghum and corn. As a crop rotation, soybeans are used for grain production, while corn and sorghum are most often used for silo production.

    Soybean (Glycine max L) cultivated in Brazil for grain production, is a herbaceous plant, class Rosideae, order Fabales, family Fabaceae (legumes), subfamily Papilionoideae, tribe Phaseoleae, genus Glycine L., species max. (EMBRAPA). It is also considered an oilseed plant as it has 18% to 20% oil content in its seeds. It is a grain rich in proteins and can be consumed by both men and animals.
