The virus was found in a group of people who attended a popular market in the city, where they sold dead and live wild animals, one of which may have had the virus and consequently infected that group. Soon after, the same symptoms of contamination were found in other people who did not frequent that place, and they came to the conclusion that the virus adapted to the external environment and spread through droplets of saliva, sneezes or coughs present in the air.
