Aging is a process permeated by changes, such as physical, psychological and social. The individual becomes more sensitive to the environment due to the decrease in adaptation capacity. It is necessary to ensure that this process is healthy and active, which means encouraging elderly people to practice their independence and self-care (Alves, 2013). Furthermore, it is worth highlighting that this research was carried out with the aim of giving new meaning to stories. The term “resignify” denotes giving a new meaning to something, in addition, according to humanistic psychology, the meaning that is attributed to an experience will always be associated with an emotion, so giving another meaning means focusing on another feeling in order to end possible psychological suffering.Item Aspectos psicossociais de idosos em ILPI(Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos, 2023-06-30) CAVALCANTI, Ana Carla; MARCOS, Emanuel de Lima; GONÇALVES, Renata Silva; SAUGUELI, Thayla Gabrieli; COLOZO, Victória Ferreira; FERREIRA, Vitória dos Reis; NASCIMENTO, Wellington Cristiano do; CAMARGO, Tamires LopesThe study of aging has gained increasing relevance in recent decades, and lately there has been an abundance of news about the lack of health professionals in developed countries, especially Germany (Pieper et al., 2023).
